Ecological and Environmental Management Technology
Aims: to develop an integrated curriculum that represents the principals of sustainable development, which requires for a technician with a visionary perspective that is able to interact and work with other professionals and communities.
To contribute to the management of natural resources and enhance the sustainable use of them, in order to allow greater benefits for communities, projects and the environment. By this, it is predicted that, the negative environmental impacts of development projects would be reduced; biodiversity loss and environmental degradation would be minimised; and the offer of environmental products would increase, whilst preserving biodiversity and the ecosystem’s quality.
To train technicians in the field of Ecology and Environmental Management, that will ensure a sustainable management of natural resources, and the conservation and rehabilitation of ecosystems, and whom will have the ability to analyse, implement and make decisions on projects where nature and society interplay.
